The emergence of two new members has brought a change in the pattern of leadership in RPSC. The BJP government has appointed Prof. Santosh Anand and Dr. Deepak Kumar Sharma as its members. Lt. Col. (Retd.) Kesari Singh Rathore, who was the senior member of the Commission appointed by the previous Congress government, will remain the Acting Chairman until a Chairman is appointed.

The Governor of Rajasthan, Haribhau Bagde, has made these appointments towards the end of the week, late on Friday night. The term of six years will start from the date of their appointment or until they turn 62 years old, whichever comes first.

This is after the term of RPSC Chairman, Utkal Ranjan Sahu, expired on 19th June. The BJP government had appointed him as the Chairman of RPSC. Upon his retirement, Kesari Singh Rathore will continue to serve as the Acting Chairman.

Political and organizational discussions regarding the new appointments have also begun. Both new members hail from the academic world and are known for their long-standing association with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

Dr. Deepak Kumar Sharma recently retired as a Professor of Zoology from the Department of College Education. He has held various administrative responsibilities in the higher education sector and has been associated with the Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh.

Meanwhile, Prof. Santosh Anand is currently the Principal of MLV Government College in Bhilwara. He has long been active in various RSS-affiliated organizations, including the Vidyarthi Parishad and Vidya Bharati.

After these appointments in RPSC, the entire focus is now on the appointment of the new permanent Chairman of the Commission. The state government can take a decision on the Chairman's post in the next few days as there are several important works related to recruitment exams and selection process pending before the Commission.
