India-Pakistan military tension has taken a new turn. The Pakistani Army has formally issued a statement that it has initiated its military operation in response to "Indian aggression" on Saturday morning. The operation has been titled 'Bunyan-ul-Marsoos' that has been inspired from a verse of the Holy Quran. Which translates as "a strong and impenetrable wall of lead."

Pakistan Premier Shahbaz Sharif called an emergency meeting of the National Command Authority on Saturday. The Committee deliberates on nuclear weapon related decisions. The step was taken when Islamabad asserted that they had targeted multiple objectives while conducting military operations against India.

Pakistan claimed to have carried out drone attacks on 26 places in India from Jammu and Kashmir to Gujarat for the second consecutive day on Friday night. However, according to the Indian Defense Ministry, the attacks on all important installations, including airbases and air force bases, were successfully foiled.

According to the ministry, "Pakistan carried out drone attacks targeting several populated Indian areas, including Baramulla, Srinagar, Awantipora, Nagrota, Jammu, Ferozepur, Pathankot, Fazilka, Lalgarh Jatta, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bhuj, Kuwarbet and Lakhi of Kutch."

A Pakistani army spokesman claimed that India attacked their three major airbases Noor Khan (Rawalpindi), Rafiki (Shorkot) and Murid with missiles and drones. According to him, 6 ballistic missiles were fired towards Pakistan. After the attack, Pakistan has issued a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) and temporarily closed its airspace.
