Election results for five states have been announced. The Bharatiya Janata Party will emerge victorious in forming the government in West Bengal, Assam, and Puducherry. TVK emerged as the single largest party in Tamil Nadu, whereas the Left Front miserably lost in Kerala. The United Democratic Front (UDF) defeated them comprehensively.
Congratulating BJP for their performance in the state assembly election, BJP leader and member of the Rajya Sabha Raghav Chadha tweeted that winning in West Bengal was historical.
He said, "Congratulations to the entire BJP family for the spectacular election results! The historic and decisive victory in West Bengal is truly unprecedented. The results in Assam and Puducherry further demonstrate the people's unwavering faith in development and good governance." This victory is a testament to the decisive leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the strategic thinking of Home Minister Amit Shah, and the dedicated efforts of BJP National President Nitin Naveen.
The result trends of West Bengal, Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry assembly elections are out. By 5 pm, the trend was almost similar to the actual result. In West Bengal, BJP is just inches away from the absolute majority, leading in 203 seats while the TMC lags behind.
In Assam, the BJP is emerging as the largest party with 100 seats, while in Tamil Nadu, the Tamizha Vettri Kazhagam has surprised everyone by taking the lead. In Kerala, the contest is confined to traditional parties, while in Puducherry, NDA allies are ahead.
With these trends, the political map of the country seems to be changing. Until yesterday, the 'Jora Ghas Phool' (TMC's election symbol) used to flutter in Bengal, but now the 'Lotus' is blooming there. If these trends translate into results, the strength of the BJP and its led NDA will increase further.
