After 5G, now India is advancing at a rapid speed to 6G technology. The unique fact is that India has now joined the leading six nations of the world to file 6G patents.

Union Minister of State for Telecommunications Chandrashekhar Pemmasani has asserted that India has a large talent pool and sufficient time. India can never be prevented from becoming a 6G leader, he added. The minister was speaking at the India 6G-2025 conference. According to him, 6G will be based on the terahertz frequency band, which will provide a data acquisition rate of one terabit per second. It is 100 times greater than 5G. He added, over 111 research projects in India have been sanctioned with an approval of Rs 300 crore. With the march of India on the path to being a technological behemoth, its way ahead with 6G technology will determine the prosperity for decades ahead, the minister stated. Indigenous 6G development will provide our communications to be built within India itself and be kept perfectly secure.

The Union Minister of State for Telecommunications said, 6G will create entirely new industries and revolutionize existing businesses. This revolutionary change will potentially add one trillion dollars to the country's economy by 2035. He further said, we have to build such a 6G system which is made in India and the world can also use it. It should be completely secure in design and transformative in impact.
