There are two latest middleweight motorcycles from Chinese manufacturer ZXMoto; the 820RR-R and the 820R Naked. The 820RR-R is a more advanced version of the 820RR. The 820RR was launched in the 2026 Supersport World Championship and is a newly introduced streetfighter.
It did not take long for ZXMoto to impress everyone. In its first appearance at the 2026 WorldSSP Championship, it used the 820RR model and caused quite a sensation by becoming the first Chinese bike manufacturer to win a WorldSSP race.
Now the company has launched the more dedicated 820RR-R motorcycle. The regular 820RR has an 818.8 cc inline-triple engine which produces 135hp at 12,000rpm and 80 Nm of torque at 9,500 rpm. The 820RR-R has increased the output to 145 hp at 13,500 rpm with a top speed of 14,750 rpm.
The chassis has also received a major upgrade, with fully adjustable 43mm KYB USD forks and a KYB monoshock for suspension.
The bike features a six-axis IMU with five riding modes, cornering traction control, and lean-sensitive ABS. Additionally, it features a 6.2-inch Android-powered TFT display, TPMS, a bidirectional quickshifter, keyless ignition, and a dual-chamber steering damper.
Both the 820RR and 820RR-R models continue to use the same cast aluminum frame, aluminum swingarm, and adjustable rake.
ZXMoto is also working to expand outside its home market, China. The company has confirmed its entry into the UK market. Initially, it will launch the 500RR sportbike there. The 820RR and 500F retro naked bikes are expected to follow in 2027. Currently, the company has not announced any plans to launch its bikes in India.
