Honor is currently developing its very first wide foldable phone. According to a new leak, the device has reached yet another milestone. The leak brings some additional information and confirms previous leaks, sharing the same technical specifications. Although no official information has been provided by the company, leaks indicate that the progress is going very quickly, and more information about the phone will be released soon.
This time, the leak was posted on the Chinese social media network Weibo. According to the user Digital Chat Station, the developer is accelerating the development of its very first wide foldable smartphone. He did not mention the name of the brand in question, but earlier rumors suggested that this phone is actually made by Honor.
According to the leak, the inner display of the prototype measures 7.6 inches while the outer display measures 5.5 inches. It also features a horizontal, runway-like camera arrangement on the back of the device.
The leak also indicates that Honor has equipped this prototype with a large 200-megapixel main camera sensor along with a periscope telephoto camera. It's also expected to feature a battery with a capacity of over 7,000mAh. The tipster further added that this capacity would make the device the largest battery among flagship wide foldable smartphones.
An earlier report indicated that the device would be powered by a 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series chipset, although this new leak doesn't mention the processor.
It's also being said that Huawei's Pura X Max could emerge as one of the handset's closest competitors. The leaked display sizes are very similar to Huawei's foldable phone, which features a 7.7-inch inner display and a 5.4-inch outer display.
Huawei's Pura X Max smartphone offers a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, a 12.5-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a second-generation multispectral sensor. It is powered by a 5,300mAh battery with 66W wired and 50W wireless charging support.
Honor has not yet confirmed the handset or shared any launch plans. Despite this, the latest leaks suggest that its development has reached a very advanced stage, which indicates that this smartphone could be introduced in the market in the coming months.
