Recently, during Google I/O 2026, Google revealed several AI-related updates and products that will be available to consumers and businesses soon. Similarly, prior to its upcoming developer conference, WWDC, Apple introduced several AI-based accessibility features.

WWDC 2026 will take place between June 8 and June 12. Ahead of WWDC, Apple unveiled accessibility features for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Vision Pro, which would assist people with disabilities in using their devices.

Apple claims that these new accessibility features use Apple Intelligence, the on-device AI technology of Apple, which focuses entirely on user privacy and personalization. This means that iPhone users will soon be able to access several new AI features. Let's learn more about them...

With the help of AI, Apple has enhanced its VoiceOver and Magnifier technology. With Image Explorer, users are able to see more in-depth descriptions about the photos, documents, bills, and any other objects visible on the screen. Users can even ask the AI for additional details about the images. The Magnifier now recognizes voice commands. Users will be able to control features like zoom or flashlight simply by speaking.

Not only this, but Apple has also made significant changes to the Voice Control feature. In other words, you don’t need to refer to the precise name of a button or menu item. Just give your commands in natural language terms, such as “open the purple folder,” and the program will know what you want.

Several new AI features have also been added to Accessibility Reader. It will now prepare summaries of long articles and also translate the text into the user's preferred language. Apart from this, Apple will now also create automatic subtitles for videos. This amazing feature will work well in personal videos, online streams, and shared clips.

Not only this, but Apple has also introduced a new feature for Vision Pro. The company says that some special wheelchair systems can now be controlled with the help of Vision Pro's Eye-Tracking technology. The special thing is that this feature will work well even in different lighting conditions.
