World’s Largest Khadi National Flag to be Displayed in Kutch’s Dhorodo on the 77th Republic Day

New Delhi [India], January 31: Inspired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, a historic and pride-evoking national event will take place in the Dhorodo region of Kutch (Rann of Kutch) in Gujarat on the occasion of the 77th Republic Day, where the world’s largest national flag (Tiranga) made from Khadi will be displayed with full honour and dignity. In addition, under the Village Industries Development Scheme, machines and toolkits will be distributed to artisans from Gujarat.

The event will be held on 26 January at 8:30 AM. The chief guest of the programme will be Shri Manoj Kumar, Chairman, Khadi and Village Industries Commission. On this occasion, the grand flag will be saluted by personnel of the Indian Army and the Border Security Force.

Public representatives, administrative officers, senior officials of the Indian Army, as well as representatives associated with Khadi and Village Industries will be present at the event.
