Guwahati (Assam) [India] July 24 : Tapan Acharya, the President of the Roll Ball Federation of India (RBFI) and a well-known Konkani Marathi film actor and filmmaker, recently visited the sacred Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati, Assam. This visit marked his first pilgrimage to the holy site since assuming leadership of the RBFI as President of this National Sports Federation recognised by the Ministry of Sports and YouthAffairs,India.
The RBFI, under Tapan Acharya’s leadership, has been instrumental in promoting Roll Ball sports with his high energetic charm and organised approach. With over 1.75 lakh registered players and more than 30 state and UT affiliations, Roll Ball is becoming one of India’s fastest-growing sports. While at such stage the Federation need a leader and visionary who has strong legal knowledge and administrative skills. Tapan Acharya’s law education, administration, marketing and PR skills are playing vital role in shaping the future of Roll Ball Federation of India.
Tapan Acharya’s visit to Kamakhya Temple preceded his journey to Shillong for the Roll Ball Federation Cup. The event, organised by chief -Coordinator for North East and General Secretary of Assam Rollball Associations Bhumidhar Burman and Suklang Dhankar, Secretary of Meghalaya Roll Ball Association, underscores the sport’s growing presence in the Northeast region.
