Swiss International University has progressed significantly in its strategy regarding education by purchasing four premium academies located in Switzerland, Kyrgyzstan, and the UAE for a total sum of $21.7 million. Such a purchase reflects the commitment by the university to maintaining standards for education through traditional as well as online delivery systems.
Among the purchased institutions is International Academy Zurich, that came into being in 2013 as the first virtual institution in Switzerland. It received the certification of online from EFMD in 2016 and it also has ASIC and ECLBS Accreditation approved by British Government body and an authorizing CHEA USA as well as INQAAHE Europe, respectively. Thus, its major focus on virtual education is an excellent merger into Swiss International University's objectives towards merging technology and academic excellence together.
The university has acquired the International Business Management School (ISBM Ltd), founded in 2016, in Lucerne. ISBM has a 5-star rating from QS Ranking and is allowed by the Lucerne Board of Education to issue diplomas. This acquisition strengthens the business education offerings of the university, ranking it among the top 2% of higher education providers worldwide.
