The book was unveiled by Attorney General of India Shri R. Venkataramani, in the presence of Justice Najmi Waziri, Senior Advocate Amal Kumar Ganguli, and Rajya Sabha MPs Deepak Prakash and Shamik Bhattacharyya. Several other eminent personalities including Former Chief Justice of India Justice V. N. Khare, Former Supreme Court Judge Hemant Gupta, Additional Solicitor General Chetan Sharma, and high-ranking bureaucrats and legal professionals, graced the occasion.
The event was more than just a ceremonial launch—it was a strategic dialogue on India’s evolving investment climate and legal architecture.
In his keynote address, Attorney General Venkataramani stated, “India’s position in the global economy is on the rise, and with that comes the need for clarity, transparency, and predictability in legal structures. This book offers that clarity, acting as both a guide and a reference point for those looking to invest in the country.”
Justice Waziri highlighted the essential role played by the rule of law in creating a conducive environment for business and investment. “A nation built on the principles of fairness and legal integrity naturally draws the trust of global investors,” he added.
Rajya Sabha Member Deepak Prakash brought attention to the book’s relevance in supporting national economic programs such as Startup India, Digital India, and Make in India. “The book bridges the gap between legal theory and practical application for investors, especially young entrepreneurs eager to contribute to the nation’s economy.”
Shamik Bhattacharyya, also a Rajya Sabha MP, praised the book in the context of India’s rising stature on the global stage. Recalling his experience as part of a parliamentary delegation to Europe, he said, “India’s international reputation as a stable and reliable investment hub is growing. Books like this reinforce that perception and arm investors with the knowledge they need.”
Speaking about the motivation behind the book, Som Mandal shared how years of firsthand legal experience inspired him to develop a resource that breaks down complex regulations into an accessible format. He reflected on his legal journey, including high-impact cases such as securing a swift Supreme Court intervention in favor of globally renowned author Barbara Taylor Bradford, to showcase the responsiveness of India’s legal system.
