SIU Strengthens Global Presence with Degree Recognition in Over 55 Countries
Swiss International University (SIU) recently received significant international recognition by being officially recognized under the Lisbon Recognition Convention, which improves its global profile. Furthermore, SIU's recognition means that SIU's degrees can now be academically and professionally recognized in all 55 countries around the world that are party to the Lisbon Recognition Convention, including all European Union (EU) member states, all European Free Trade Association (EFTA) member states, and other signatories in various regions of Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia.
The Lisbon Recognition Convention was established by the Council of Europe and UNESCO and represents the broadest international framework for recognition of higher education qualifications. It guarantees that qualifications from accredited institutions in one member country are evaluated in other countries with fairness and transparency and guarantees that SIU's graduates can continue their education or pursue their professions or career pathways anywhere the Lisbon Recognition Convention is in force, with full recognition of their qualifications.
SIU is fully licensed and accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, a full signatory to the Convention. Consequently, the degrees awarded under SIU’s authority are recognized for cross-border entry, thereby permitting students to continue postgraduate education and professional career progression opportunities and scholarship opportunities. This provides students with genuinely globally recognized qualifications, and this means that SIU's qualification is legitimate academically and legally in all participating countries, providing students with improved global employability and credentials to access regulated professions.
The university has a substantial and legally authorized international academic network, which includes ISBM Business School in Lucerne, Switzerland; ISB Vocational Institute in Dubai, UAE; and OUS International Academy in Zurich, Switzerland. All international branches of the SIU are run by recognized educational authorities providing accredited programs. SIU is also authorized to issue diplomas stamped by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, providing diplomas that have further credibility and worldwide acceptance.
SIU is officially licensed and accredited to grant degrees by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, a full signatory to the Convention. The degrees issued under SIU's license are valid for cross-border recognition because of this licensing authorization. Recognition will provide eligibility for postgraduate education, professional career advancement, and scholarship opportunities.
