Bangalore (Karnataka) [India], April 28: Bengaluru’s women entrepreneurs are shining on the global jewellery map, thanks to their remarkable contributions to the gem and jewellery industry, said Shri N. A. Haris, Chairman of the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA).
He was addressing the audience at the 3rd Edition of the IBJA Golden Girls Awards, held at Hotel Shangri-La, Bengaluru. The event was organized by the India Bullion & Jewellers Association (IBJA) under the leadership of Dr. Chetan Kumar Mehta, National President (Jewellery Division, IBJA), in association with Heera Zhaveraat Trade Media Group Enterprises.
Highlighting Karnataka’s growing global prominence, Shri Haris emphasized that Bengaluru has secured a significant place in the world’s gem and jewellery sector, largely due to the dynamism of its women entrepreneurs. Recognizing and celebrating their achievements through such awards, he noted, is truly commendable.
