In an age where students and young professionals are increasingly overwhelmed by choices, competition, and uncertainty, Beyond Career stands out as a powerful, student-driven movement that is changing how India approaches careers. The project was started by Mahavir Kumar and Nitish Kumar, two visionary students from IIT Kharagpur, who recognised a common problem across campuses — the lack of structured, relatable, and personalised career guidance for students navigating life beyond academics.
What began as a simple campus initiative has grown into a vibrant, fast-growing platform led by a passionate team of 20+ student volunteers from across the country. Today, Beyond Career is not just a mentorship project — it’s a growing career readiness ecosystem that has already empowered over 500 students through expert mentorship, real-world learning opportunities, and practical resources.
“We started Beyond Career with a simple belief — that every student deserves clarity and confidence when it comes to choosing and building their career,” shared Mahavir Kumar, student at IIT Kharagpur.
