Born in1945 , brought up in Mumbai,inter from Jai Hind college, was much impressed & inspired by her father Dr. C.M. Patel’s practice in Santacruz.
So, she opted for M.B.B.S from Topiwala Medical college- Nair hospital, Bombay University, She’s a 1969 batch graduate, and then got married to Dr.Kiran Patel. She has practised in Lusaka (Zambia), Vallabh Vidya nagar & Surat (Gujarat, India), and now back in Mumbai since 2021 as a retired practitioner.
Her love for medical profession and dedication is commendable.
Her elaborate, nonstop extended frontline services during Surat plague out breaks & flood calamities have earned her numerous national accolades, including the Bhartiya Chikitsak Ratna Award, Rashtriya Health Excellence Award, and an Award of Excellence for her extraordinary contributions to the medical field.
But, on a personal front she has undergone many turmoils in her life.
