Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], December 03: Butterfly Learnings, an innovative platform specializing in pediatric behavioral and developmental health, hosted its first-ever Sports Day for neurodiverse children at the Sharadchandra Ji Pawar Mini Stadium, celebrating the abilities and achievements of 120 young participants in a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere. This pioneering event showcased the power of sports in bringing together children of diverse abilities, promoting joy, confidence, and camaraderie.
The event featured engaging activities tailored to various age groups. Children aged 3–6 years participated in coordination-boosting activities like “Free Yourself” (a ring activity) and “Snake Walk” (walking along patterned lines). The 6–10 age group competed in sack races, running races, and the exciting “Dribble Race.” Older kids (10+) demonstrated their athleticism in relay races, long jump, and shuttle races.
Adding to the day’s excitement was the esteemed Chief Guest, Ranveer Singh Saini, a celebrated golfer who has been an inspiration for millions. Diagnosed with autism at age 2, Ranveer has gone on to make history as the first Indian to win gold medals at the Special Olympics Golf Masters in 2013 and 2014. In 2023, he added yet another gold to his accolades at the World Games. A seven-time Limca Record holder, Ranveer is a testament to perseverance, having represented India at numerous international platforms, including the Special Olympics World Games.
