At the age of 16, Amandeep’s life changed when his father was severely injured in an accident while driving his Ambassador taxi. The family had no choice but to leave Calcutta and move to a remote village in Punjab. The shift was difficult.
Amandeep was accustomed to the busy city life and now, he faced the simplicity of rural living and struggled with his emotions. He was so depressed that he failed his school that year and wanted to end his life once & for all, somehow he failed.
Soon after, he received an unexpected letter inviting him to an Amway event which acted as a ray of hope for him. Amandeep attended the event in Jalandhar, where an inspiring presentation by Dr. Brach changed his perspective. That day, he picked up two books: Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill and How to Stop Worrying and Start Living by Dale Carnegie. These books became his guiding light, teaching him the power of self-belief and personal development.
These books weren’t easy to read as he didn’t know much English, but somehow with the help of a dictionary he read and these books gave him hope for improvement and to live. After completing his Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Amandeep struggled to find a job. Eventually, he secured a position at a call centre. His English wasn’t proficient so he found it tough at first, but he managed to push through with the help of training provided by the centre. Throughout this time, Amandeep remained focused on growth and was eager to improve.
His life took a major turn when he earned a scholarship to study in London. He took a couple of trainings there like NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming), personal development, life coaching and many more.
Over the past four decades, Amandeep has journeyed from growing up in poverty in Calcutta, India, to being recognized worldwide for his public speaking skills. He has also had the honor of speaking for Tony Robbins, Robert Kiyosaki and many other notable personalities.
