Lucknow, 21 March 2026: The eighth edition of the Times of India Sports Awards (TOISA) will be held on March 21, 2026, at The Centrum Hotel, Lucknow, bringing together some of the biggest names and standout performers from across Indian sport.

TOISA 2025 isn’t just another awards night—it’s a snapshot of a year where Indian sport delivered across disciplines. From cricket to athletics, shooting, badminton, chess and para sports, the awards recognise both headline wins and the kind of consistency that usually gets ignored but wins medals.

This year reflects India’s continued strength in white-ball cricket, backed by major ICC tournament success, alongside strong international performances in athletics and para sports, including podium finishes at events like the Asian Athletics Championships and the World Para Athletics Championships.

The nominee list cuts across experience and emerging talent. Names like Neeraj Chopra, Smriti Mandhana and Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa headline the roster, alongside athletes who are quietly building serious momentum in their respective sports.

Awards will be presented across more than 30 categories, including Sportsperson of the Year, Emerging Sportsperson, Team of the Year and discipline-specific honours—covering the full breadth of India’s sporting ecosystem without over-indexing on just cricket.

One clear shift this year: TOISA is opening up to the public for the first time. That’s a deliberate move—not just for scale, but to bring fans into what has largely been an industry-only event so far. Passes are available on The Times of India’s official platform.

Over the years, TOISA has grown into a credible platform that captures the range of Indian sport—from Olympic-level success to grassroots breakthroughs—without forcing everything into the same narrative.

At its core, TOISA 2025 is about recognising performance as it is: across sports, across levels, and without bias.
