Mumbai: Jio BlackRock Asset Management Private Limited, the joint venture between Jio Financial Services Limited (JFSL) and global investment giant BlackRock (NYSE: BLK), has announced the launch of the JioBlackRock Large Cap Fund, a new open-ended equity scheme aimed at long-term investors seeking exposure to India’s leading companies.

The fund will primarily invest in large-cap equities and is designed to serve as a core portfolio allocation, offering investors disciplined exposure to well-established companies with strong governance frameworks, resilient business models, and the potential to deliver consistent earnings growth over time.

According to the company, the new offering leverages BlackRock’s Systematic Active Equities (SAE) approach, combining advanced analytics, data science, and human investment expertise to identify investment opportunities within India’s largest listed companies.

A Core Strategy for Long-Term Investors

Large-cap equities have historically formed the backbone of diversified equity portfolios, offering a balance between long-term growth potential and relative stability compared with mid- and small-cap stocks. The JioBlackRock Large Cap Fund aims to capture this opportunity by focusing on companies that are market leaders in their respective sectors and are well positioned to benefit from India’s long-term economic growth trajectory.

The fund will follow a risk-managed, benchmark-aware systematic investment framework, focusing on portfolio diversification, disciplined stock selection, and robust risk controls. The strategy will remain aligned with the large-cap universe defined by market capitalization while maintaining a diversified portfolio structure.

Commenting on the launch, Rishi Kohli, Chief Investment Officer at JioBlackRock Asset Management, said large-cap stocks remain central to long-term wealth creation strategies.

“Large-cap equities play a critical role in long-term wealth creation, particularly as a core allocation within investor portfolios. The JioBlackRock Large Cap Fund is designed to provide investors with a disciplined and diversified way to participate in India’s leading companies — businesses that combine scale, resilience, and the ability to navigate market cycles. Our focus remains on consistency, portfolio quality, and long-term compounding,” he said.

Responding to India’s Growing Investor Base

The launch comes at a time when retail participation in India’s mutual fund ecosystem continues to expand rapidly. As household savings increasingly shift toward financial assets, investors are seeking transparent, professionally managed equity products that offer clarity in strategy and long-term wealth creation potential.

The JioBlackRock Large Cap Fund aims to meet this demand by providing access to a professionally managed portfolio of India’s largest companies, helping investors pursue long-term financial objectives such as retirement planning, education funding, and wealth accumulation.

Data-Driven Investment Framework

A key differentiator of the new fund is its systematic and data-driven investment process. BlackRock’s SAE model integrates big data analytics, quantitative models, and traditional research to transform diverse datasets into actionable investment insights.

The framework evaluates multiple information sources, including market data, corporate disclosures, alternative datasets, and evolving economic indicators. By combining technology with investment expertise, the approach aims to generate differentiated investment outcomes while maintaining disciplined portfolio construction.

The strategy also focuses on measuring market signals quickly and accurately, allowing portfolio managers to respond efficiently to changing market conditions.

NFO Timeline

The New Fund Offer (NFO) for the JioBlackRock Large Cap Fund will open on March 24, 2026, and remain available for subscription until April 7, 2026.

Through this launch, Jio BlackRock seeks to strengthen its presence in India’s rapidly growing asset management industry while offering investors a structured pathway to participate in the country’s evolving equity markets.
