Xiaomi is soon expected to launch another 5G flagship smartphone, which might come with the name Xiaomi 17 Max. This will be the fifth smartphone from the Xiaomi 17 series. Although Xiaomi is yet to make an official announcement regarding the launch of a new smartphone, a new leak has come forth with some specifications of the new smartphone.

Reports also suggest that the Xiaomi 17 Max could feature the largest battery in the Xiaomi 17 series, with support for both wired and wireless fast charging, making it even more unique. Furthermore, the device could feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.

According to the Weibo account Tipster Digital Chat Station, the battery of this new phone could be quite large, measuring 8000mAh. This phone may also have the ability to charge its battery in 100W via wired charging, as well as 50W wireless charging. This would make it the phone in the Xiaomi 17 line with the biggest battery.

Reports also suggest that the Xiaomi 17 Max could feature the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, similar to other Xiaomi 17 devices. The handset's display could feature thin, symmetrical bezels on all four sides. Furthermore, the Xiaomi 17 Max's rear camera design could be similar to the standard model in the series. The company may offer a special periscope telephoto lens in the new device.

Reports suggest that the Xiaomi 17 Max could launch in the first quarter of this year as the fifth device in the Xiaomi 17 series. Currently, this lineup includes the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, and Xiaomi 17 Ultra models.
