The smallest Land Cruiser FJ version of Toyota has been introduced in Japan after being unveiled in Thailand and South Africa. Toyota aims to introduce this vehicle in India also, which will be manufactured at its newly established manufacturing unit in Maharashtra. The car will then be marketed in India as well as shipped to other destinations from there. The standard model in Japan is priced at 4,500,100 yen (Rs. 27.75 lakh).
There are three accessory packs offered by Toyota in the Land Cruiser FJ available in Japan. One of these packs includes the Modellista pack. This is a Toyota luxury brand that customizes cars and makes accessories for them. The brand primarily focuses on improving the styling packages and interiors of Toyota and Lexus models.
This 4.56-meter-long, 5-seater SUV will be positioned between the Hyryder and Fortuner in Toyota's lineup. People prefer SUVs with a boxy design, and the FJ is exactly that. The global model's interior features several modern features, including seven airbags and Level-2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, a 7-inch digital driver display, and a 12.3-inch infotainment screen. It also features dual-zone climate control.
The global model is powered by a 2.7-liter petrol engine that produces 164 bhp and 245 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission that powers all four wheels. However, the 2.8-liter diesel engine is not offered in this model.
Also, there are speculations that if there is demand in the market, the model to be launched in India may be offered with the option of strong hybrid and diesel engines.
