Team India captain Rohit Sharma and chief selector Ajit Agarkar announced the Indian squad for ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on Saturday. Before announcing the team, a meeting of the selection committee headed by Agarkar was held in Mumbai, after which Rohit and Agarkar announced Team India in a press conference that had gotten delayed by about two and a half hours. Team India selectors have announced the 15-member squad. There were speculations that Sanju Samson might be included in the Champions Trophy team, but this could not happen. In such a situation, now KL Rahul will play the role of wicketkeeper-batsman while Rishabh Pant has been given a place as the second wicketkeeper.
