Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Aminul Islam Bulbul was quoted as saying that the BCB has not received the ICC's response regarding their reservations about conducting the match in the Indian subcontinent for the T20 World Cup and stated that the BCB's position would not be changed.
Bangladesh is also hesitant in playing in India for this tournament, which is scheduled to happen on February 7th, due to security reasons, and it asked for the hosting of their matches in co-host Sri Lanka. He said the board would wait for a response from the ICC before any decisive actions are taken.
He said, "Ultimately, any alternative venue is in India. You all know that no unilateral decision can be made, and we have to follow the government's orders. We stand where we were a few days ago." He added, "Until the ICC sends its response, I cannot comment on what we will do if we are not allowed to play in Sri Lanka."
