Yashasvi Jaiswal, who plays for the Rajasthan Royals as their opener in the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur, scored a six off the very first ball of the game. This was not his first time, as this had happened four times already. In addition, he set another record by being the player to score the highest number of sixes off the very first ball of an IPL game. On Friday, Jaiswal hit the very first ball delivered by Mitchell Starc of the Delhi Capitals out of the ground.

Priyansh Arya of the Punjab Kings is the next person on the list after having achieved this feat twice. Naman Ojha, Mayank Agarwal, Sunil Narine, Virat Kohli, Robin Uthappa, Phil Salt, and Sanju Samson have each achieved this feat once.

With this, Jaiswal also became the fifth batsman to hit a six off the first ball of an IPL match. Naman Ojha achieved this feat off Brad Hodge in 2009. Virat Kohli then did so against Varun Aaron in IPL 2019. Phil Salt hit a six off Nuwan Thushara in IPL 2024, while Priyansh Arya achieved this feat off Khaleel Ahmed in IPL 2025.

Jaiswal, who opened his account with a six against Delhi Capitals, failed to deliver a big innings. After hitting a six off the first ball, he played a dot ball on the next ball and was caught by Mitchell Starc on the third ball.

In the points table, Rajasthan Royals are in fourth place after winning six out of nine matches. If they win this match, they could move up to second place with 14 points. Meanwhile, the Delhi Capitals, on the other hand, are in seventh place after losing five out of eight matches and will be looking to improve their position by winning this match.
