Today, the day started with heavy rain in the capital, Jaipur. Clouds were camping here since late at night. Heavy rainfall began at around 7 am. There is also an Orange alert of rain and strong winds in Alwar, Dausa, Jhunjhunu, and nearby areas by the Jaipur Meteorological Centre. There was light to moderate rainfall in 6 cities of the state on Wednesday as well. They are Ajmer, Jaipur, Sikar, Dabok, Churu, and Sangaria.
Due to rain, a sharp drop has been recorded in the maximum temperature of the state. Especially in eastern Rajasthan, the maximum temperature in most of the cities has fallen below 35 degrees. In the last 24 hours, Barmer in western Rajasthan was the hottest city, with a maximum temperature here was 40.9 degrees Celsius.
The Meteorological Department says that due to the western disturbance, moisture is being supplied here from the Arabian Sea. Today, rain activity can be seen in most parts of the state. Today, heavy rain may occur at some places in Jaipur, Bikaner, Kota, Ajmer, and Bharatpur divisions. The period of storm and rain will continue till about June 5, after which the weather will remain dry.
According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature of the state in the last 24 hours was as follows. Barmer was the hottest city of the state, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 40.9 degrees. The maximum temperature was recorded at 33.5 degrees in Ajmer, 33.5 degrees in Alwar, 31.6 degrees in Jaipur, 31.2 degrees in Pilani, 28 in Sikar, 35.7 in Kota, 40.9 in Barmer, 40.8 in Jaisalmer, 39.5 degrees in Jodhpur, 27.8 degrees in Churu, 36.5 degrees in Bikaner and 29.7 degrees in Fatehpur.
