It was revealed on Thursday that OnePlus has unveiled a new range of smartphones in India. The first model of this range is the OnePlus N6. There is a special teaser about this phone in India that reveals certain aspects of its design and color options. Days before this, an expert predicted that OnePlus would be coming up with a budget-oriented range of phones in India soon. It is expected that certain models of the N range will be cheaper than the OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite that was released last week and happens to be the most budget-friendly OnePlus phone currently.
A website by Microsoft related to this upcoming OnePlus phone has gone live. While Microsoft does not reveal anything about the name of the phone, it is evident from the page title that the upcoming OnePlus phone will be known as the OnePlus N6. It's confirmed that it will debut as the first phone in the OnePlus N series. The tech firm has also teased the upcoming smartphone's design and color options.
It's confirmed that the OnePlus N6 will be available for sale in India via Amazon. It will be offered in at least black and green color options. The handset will feature a flat rear panel and a flat frame, with the camera module slightly protruding above the panel. Furthermore, the OnePlus N6 will feature the power button and volume controls on the right side, while the left side is kept completely clean. While other details, including the exact launch date, pricing, specifications, and features, haven't been revealed yet, the company is expected to reveal them closer to the launch.
This development comes just days after reports highlighted that the tech firm is planning to launch its new OnePlus N series in India. The first OnePlus N series phone, now confirmed to be the OnePlus N6, will reportedly launch in the country in July. According to a tipster, some models in the upcoming OnePlus N lineup could be priced under ₹20,000.
If this proves true, the OnePlus N series could replace the OnePlus Nord CE Lite as the most affordable OnePlus handsets in India. Currently, the OnePlus Nord CE 6 Lite is the company's only entry-level handset, launched on May 7 at a starting price of ₹20,999 for the base variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
