National Health Claim Exchange (NHCX) is likely to be launched in the next two to three months. NHCX is a digital health claims platform developed by the National Health Authority and will speed up the health insurance claims process with transparency.
NHCX was introduced last year thanks to a collaboration between the National Health Authority and the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI). Insurance companies process health insurance claims for hospitals, patients, and other stakeholders slowly and through separate portals.
All insurance companies will be on one platform, though, thanks to NHCX, which was created as part of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission. It will act as a portal for the interchange of data about claims between different players in the healthcare and health insurance industry. NHCX will process health claims more quickly, which will benefit policyholders and patients.
Aditya Birla Health Insurance, Star Health and Allied Insurance, Bajaj Allianz Insurance Company, and insurance companies like HDFC ERGO Insurance, ICICI Lombard General Insurance, and The New India Assurance Company have joined NHCX.
