Motorola Edge 70 Pro may land in India very soon. A dedicated microsite for a smartphone not yet announced has been found on an online shopping platform, and it is reported to be the smartphone that has been extensively discussed online. The Edge 70 Pro has been seen in some leaked marketing graphics and CAD renderings, providing hints on how the phone looks and the colors it will come in. However, recently, news emerged that the smartphone had been spotted on a benchmarking website, disclosing most of its hardware specifications.
In a post on X, tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd) claimed that the alleged Motorola Edge 70 Pro has been listed on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. This listing suggests that the phone could come with 12GB of RAM and Android 16. According to reports, the handset is listed with an octa-core ARMv8 chipset, which is said to be the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 processor.
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro is said to have four efficiency cores clocked at 2.2GHz; three performance cores clocked at 3.2GHz; and a prime core with a peak clock speed of 3.4GHz. According to reports, the chipset will be paired with a Mali-G720 MC8 GPU. Additionally, the phone scored 1,727 points in Geekbench's single-core performance test and 6,563 points in the multi-core performance test.
This all comes after a special microsite was recently made live for the launch of a new handset. This microsite revealed the phone's design and color options, which were quite similar to the design and colors seen in leaked images of the Motorola Edge 70 Pro. It has been confirmed that the upcoming Motorola handset will be available for sale in the country through Flipkart. The handset will be available in Blue, Green, and White color options, with a "Tailored-Fabric Finish," "Satin-Luxe Finish," and "Marble Finish" respectively.
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro is expected to feature a triple rear camera setup housed in a square-shaped camera module. The handset may also feature a curved display with a hole-punch cutout. This cutout is expected to house a camera for selfies and video calls. The phone was also spotted on the HDR10+ certification database, where it was also present alongside the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+.
