Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has released the results for the September quarter. In this result, the company said that there has been an increase in their net profit. Net profit for the September quarter of 2023-24 registered a 30.36 percent increase at Rs 294.67 crore.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 226.03 crore in the year-ago period, it said in a BSE filing.
Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation said total revenue increased by 23.51 percent to Rs 995.31 crore compared to Rs 805.80 crore in Q2FY23. The company said its board has declared an interim dividend of Rs 2.50 per equity share.
IRCTC was conceived as an extended arm of Indian Railways. Its objective was to upgrade, professionalize, and manage catering and hospitality services at stations, trains, and other places. Additionally, it has been helpful in promoting both domestic and international tourism. This company comes under the Ministry of Railways.
Today the company's shares are trading at Rs 677.50 per share with a fall of Rs 3.60.
