The Honor Play 80 Plus launched in China on May 5. This phone belongs to the budget-oriented Play 80 range from the Honor brand. The Honor Play 80 Plus is available for pre-orders in China. It comes in three colors and four storage variants. The Play 80 Plus features an octa-core Snapdragon 4 chipset along with MagicOS 10 software from Honor. It has one rear camera housed within a pill-shaped module. Furthermore, it offers 7,500mAh battery support alongside 45W wired fast charging.

The basic version comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage and costs CNY 1,699 (Rs. 24,000 approximately). The company has not yet disclosed the prices of higher-end models with 6GB + 256GB, 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB of RAM and storage.

Honor's new phone is currently available for pre-order on the Honor China online store. The Honor Play 80 Plus comes in three colors: Aquamarine, Floating Gold, and Inkstone Black (translated from Chinese).

The Honor Play 80 Plus is a dual-SIM phone that runs on Honor's latest Android 16-based MagicOS 10. It features a 6.61-inch (720 x 1,604 pixels) TFT LCD touchscreen display. It features a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, peak brightness of up to 1,010 nits, 16.7 million colors, a 90.7 percent screen-to-body ratio, and an 85 percent NTSC color gamut. Qualcomm's octa-core Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset, which offers a peak clock speed of 2.3GHz, powers the new Honor Play 80 Plus. It also comes with an Adreno 613 GPU, up to 12GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of onboard storage.

In terms of camera, the Honor Play 80 Plus features a single 13-megapixel camera with an f/1.8 aperture on the rear. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone also has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture. For security, the handset also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The new Honor Play 80 Plus packs a 7,500mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging. The list of onboard sensors includes an accelerometer, proximity sensor, e-compass, and gravity sensor. For connectivity, it supports 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, a USB Type-C port, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo. It measures 163.9x75.9x8.29mm and weighs approximately 205g.
