Traveling on India's national highways and expressways using FASTag will now cost you more. The government has announced a rise in the cost of the FASTag Annual Pass. Here's how much you will have to pay for it from April 1.
According to reports, preparations are underway to increase the FASTag annual pass fee. NHAI has revised the FASTag annual pass fee for the financial year 2026-27, which will be implemented nationwide from April 1st, 2026.
You can now get the FASTag Annual Pass for the upcoming financial year by shelling out ₹3,075. Currently, it costs ₹3,000. The revised cost will come into effect in two days.
The FASTag Annual Pass is only for non-commercial private vehicles such as cars, vans, and jeeps. It is not for commercial small vehicles, trucks, or buses.
The Central Government has launched this facility from August 15, 2025. This facility is most beneficial to those who use national highways and expressways to travel between states. Under the old system, people had to repeatedly recharge their FASTags, incurring thousands of rupees in toll charges. However, with the implementation of the Annual Pass system, people can travel for a year without recharging for just ₹3,000. Preparations have now been started to make it expensive.
