Ekta Kapoor, who is called the Queen of Daily Soaps, is now ready to expand her scope in the South Film Industry as well. On the small screen, she has done a lot of entertainment for Indian ladies with the Saas-Bahu serial. In Bollywood, too, many films were made under the banner of Balaji Telefilms Production, which got immense success at the box office. Now Ekta Kapoor is ready to spread her foot in South Cinema as well.
Balaji Telefilms is venturing into film production in other languages including Hindi. On Monday, he announced his first pan-India film. Ekta Kapoor announced this mega project by sharing pictures with her father Jitendra Kapoor and South cinema big hero Mohanlal on social media handle Instagram. The film is reportedly being made on a budget of Rs 200 crore.
Giving this information on Insta, Ekta wrote, "Posing with legends and genius!!!! Hail Mother Goddess. So excited to be working with @mohanlal. Balaji Telefilms is partnering with Connect Media and AVS Studios for 'Vrushabha' - a pan India bilingual Telugu Malayalam film starring Mohanlal."
He further wrote, “This film is full of emotions, and VFX is an action entertainer film. This will be the biggest film of 2024, which will be directed by Nanda Kishore. The film will be released in Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, and Hindi languages.
Ekta Kapoor is currently in the limelight for 'The Crew'. Kriti Sanon, Kareena Kapoor and Tabu will be in this film. Diljit Dosanjh will also be a part of the main cast of the film. The movie will release on March 22 next year.
Apart from this, 'Barsaatein' is going to start on July 10 under the banner of his production company. The show will feature Kushal Tandon and Shivangi Joshi as the lead pair.
