Pune police have arrested seven individuals, including a BJP official, for gambling.
Following this move by the police, the BJP Pune city unit chief stated that he has thrown out the official. The accused official is identified as Audumber Kamble. He was a part of the party's Parvati unit in Pune.
According to the police, the team raided a tin-shed room in the city's Dhankawadi area on Monday afternoon. Some people were found playing cards and gambling there.
Seven people, Audumber Kamble, Rohan Londhe, Bapu Patole, Sagar Adagale, Yuvaraj Suryavanshi, Mangesh Shelar and Sangram Bhosale were arrested for their involvement in gambling. Cash and mobile phones were also seized during the raid.
