Ganderbal: Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Atal Dulloo, today visited the sacred Kheer Bhawani Temple located in Tulmulla area of Ganderbal district. The visit was made ahead of the upcoming annual Mela Kheer Bhawani, which holds immense spiritual and emotional significance for the Kashmiri Pandit community.

On the occasion, Shri Dulloo paid obeisance at the revered shrine and prayed for the peace, prosperity, and well-being of the people of the Union Territory. The temple, dedicated to Goddess Ragnya Devi, sees large gatherings during the mela, which is marked by collective devotion and traditional rituals.

Reviewing the preparations for the festival, the Chief Secretary interacted with senior officers, civil administration, and other stakeholders. He took stock of arrangements related to security, transportation, sanitation, accommodation, and medical facilities to ensure a smooth and safe pilgrimage experience for the devotees. 

Shri Dulloo underlined the importance of communal harmony and cultural preservation during his discussions with officials. He emphasized coordinated efforts by various departments to maintain the sanctity of the event and provide all necessary support to the pilgrims arriving from different parts of the country.
