Dr. Pooja Singh Honored with ‘Bharat Vibhushan’ Award for Outstanding Research Work
Dr. Pooja Singh, a promising daughter of Tiliyapur village in Shaktifarm, has been awarded the prestigious ‘Bharat Vibhushan’ award by Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel for her exemplary research work.
Shaktifarm: Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel presents the prestigious ‘Bharat Vibhushan’ award to Dr. Pooja Singh, a promising daughter of Tiliyapur village in Shaktifarm for her exemplary research work. The honor was given at a ceremony held by the Institute for Social Reforms and Higher Education Charitable Trust at the Delhi Assembly.
As per her research, a former researcher at G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, Dr. Singh, had developed an eco friendly and innovative technology to fabricate bricks and tiles using fly ash. A wide range of appreciations has been done to this ground breaking work, and she is awarded with seven highly acclaimed awards at both national and international levels such as the Global Young Scientist Award.
What is also inspiring is Dr. Singh’s academic journey. She had her high school education from Greenwood Public School Shaktifarm and her intermediate level at St. Peter’s Higher Secondary School, Kichha. She did her B.Sc. from Surajmal Girls’ College, Kichha, M.Sc. and Ph.D. Pantnagar University. Furthermore, she has also a postgraduate diploma in Intellectual Property Rights from IGNOU.
At the award ceremony, Dr. Singh gave credit to her mentor and friends, as well as her parents Radha Mohan Singh and Pushpa Singh for her success. But her parents, farmers by profession, were very proud of their daughter’s achievement.
