Delhi Police in search of Olympic medalist wrestler Sushil

Case registered against Sushil, raid in many places; Allegations of involvement in the murder of former junior national champion

Jaipur.  Delhi Police is searching for two-time Olympic medalist wrestler Sushil Kumar. Sushil is accused of killing former Junior National Champion Sagar and being involved in a clash at Chhatrasal Stadium. An FIR has also been registered against him. The Delhi Police is conducting raids at various places in the case. According to police, Sushil has been missing since the incident.

The case is of Chhatrasal Stadium in the Model Town area of Delhi. It is being told that this quarrel took place over the property dispute. Sagar and Sushil were pressurizing them to evacuate the house where Sagar and his friends lived. On Tuesday, two groups of wrestlers clashed with each other inside the stadium Tuesday. 5 wrestlers were injured in this. One of them Sagar (23) succumbed while undergoing treatment in the hospital. He was the son of a head constable in the Delhi Police.

According to police, the incident took place in the stadium's parking area between 1.15 and 1.30 at night. As soon as the information reached the police, 5 vehicles were found standing there. Sagar and his 4 other wrestling companions were hospitalized in an injured condition. It included Sonu (37), Amit Kumar (27) and 2 other wrestlers.

Police found a loaded double-barrel gun and 3 live cartridges in addition to 5 vehicles from the scene. Delhi Police said that they are investigating the role of Sushil Kumar, as he has been charged with serious charges. Currently, two wrestlers, including Prince Dalal, have been detained and are being questioned.

Earlier, Sushil explained the matter. He said that he was not our fellow wrestler. The incident happened late at night. We had informed the police officers that some unknown people have entered our premises and are quarrelling. Our stadium has nothing to do with the incident. Sushil won silver at the 2012 London Olympics and bronze medal at the Beijing Olympics.
