Ashok Gehlot went to CMO after 18 months
For the first time after March 2020, he indicated to increase activity in the field by visiting the office, yesterday evening cabinet meeting at CM residence Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot reached the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) at the Secretariat on Monday.
He went about his business as usual. He did not come to his office for 18 months due to Corona. He stayed here for about four hours. At the end of March 2020, the first wave of Corona had arrived. There was a long lockdown at that time. Gehlot dealt with the work from the office of CM residence in both the waves of Corona. After the end of the first wave, the ministers and MLAs were confined to hotels for 34 days due to political crisis after the revolt of the Sachin Pilot camp in July. Even during that time, the CM worked from the office of the CM residence itself. Apart from 2020, in the year 2021 also, instead of CMO, full meetings were taken from the CM residence itself.
Gehlot did more than 300 video conferencing in the second wave of Karona. The programs of inauguration and foundation stone were also done virtual. BJP has raised questions many times over Chief Minister Gehlot not going to CMO. Several BJP leaders, including BJP state president Satish Poonia, Deputy Leader of Opposition Rajendra Rathod, took a jibe at Gehlot for taking virtual meetings and called him virtual CM. Now after going to the CMO and starting the work, this issue of the opposition is over.
CM Gehlot has indicated to be active in the field. Gehlot participated in two programs related to Gandhiji on Monday. After holding a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Tuesday, Gehlot will give him lunch. Gehlot will address election meetings in Dhariyavad and Vallabhnagar on October 8. CM Ashok Gehlot will take a cabinet meeting at 5 pm on Tuesday. A meeting of the Council of Ministers has been called after the cabinet.
