Jeff Bezos' big 'surprise': 746-746 crores handed to two people after they returned from space, and they know everything
After completing their space mission, Jeff Bezos, the founder of e-commerce business Amazon, announced a $100 million (about Rs 746 crore per person) payout to CNN journalists Van Jones and Jose Andres on Tuesday. The money was set aside for a charity project, which I'd like to call the Courage and Civility Award (Courage and Civilization Award).
Jones and Andres, according to Bezos, are free to do whatever they want with the money. In a press conference following his space flight, he said, They have the option of giving the entire sum to their charity or sharing it. It is up to them to decide how they will spend this money. Not condemners, but uniters are what we need.
We require individuals who will argue and act in support of their beliefs. However, they always do so in a civil manner and are never aggressive. Regrettably, we live in a world where this isn't always the case. - Jeff Bezos, Amazon's Founder
