In the 7th batch of Rafale fighter jets, 3 more fighter aircraft have reached India on Wednesday night. With this, now the number of this fighter aircraft in the fleet of the Air Force has increased to 24. It is being told that they will be stationed at Hasimara Air Base in West Bengal. The 1st Rafale Squadron is present at Ambala Air Force Station.

There are 18 aircraft in a squadron. The first Rafale Squadron stationed in Ambala has also started patrolling on the borders with China in eastern Ladakh. The operation of the second squadron will be started by the end of July.

All the three planes flew from France and reached India after covering a distance of about 8 thousand kilometers without stopping. These aircraft were refueled in the air by Airbus 330 multi-role transport aircraft of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) mid-way. Indian Air Force tweeted, 'Three Rafale aircraft have reached India non-stop flying from Isres Air Base in France. The Indian Air Force thanks the Air Force for providing assistance in the middle of the air route.' The new squadron of Rafale fighter jets will have its base at Hasimara airbase in West Bengal.

The first squadron of Rafale is at Ambala Air Force Station. India inked a deal with France in 2016 to buy 36 Rafale fighter jets for Rs 59,000 crore. The remaining aircraft are expected to arrive by 2022. Officials said that the first squadron will guard the western border and northern border with Pakistan. The second squadron will monitor the eastern border area of India. Let us inform that after the increase in the cases of corona virus in India, the process of bringing Rafale planes has become a little longer. Because before leaving for France from India, Indian pilots have to go through many other precautions along with quarantine.
