Mahindra & Mahindra has announced the prices of its first electric C-SUV 'XUV400'. The company has launched it in two variants EC and EL. The ex-showroom price of its base variant has been kept at Rs 15.99 lakh, which goes up to Rs 18.99 lakh. These are introductory prices which will be available for the first 5000 customers.
Mahindra will give this SUV competition to the Tata Nexon EV. It will run 456 km on a single charge. Its top speed is 160 km/h. Mahindra has claimed that it will deliver 20,000 units of the XUV400 to customers within a year of its launch. The company said that booking of the electric SUV will start from January 26 in 34 cities.
Deliveries of the XUV400 EL will begin in March this year, while the deliveries of the EC variant will begin during the festive season of Diwali. The company is offering a warranty of 8 years or 1,60,000 kilometres on the battery pack and motor of this SUV. Mahindra claims the fastest acceleration in a non-luxury segment car. The speed of 0 to 100 km will reach 8.3 seconds.
The car is available in Arctic Blue, Everest White, Galaxy Grey, Napoli Black and Infinity Blue colour options. There will be a dual-tone option on the roof, which will get a satin copper finish.
Battery pack and range The EC variant of the Mahindra XUV400 gets a 34.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which generates 150PS of power and 310 Nm of torque. It can cover a distance of 375 kilometres on a single full charge. Customers can take a 3.3 kW or 7.2 kW charger with it. The XUV400 EL variant is powered by a 39.4 kWh lithium-ion battery, which generates 150 PS of power and 310 Nm of torque. It gives a range of 456 km on a full charge. This variant comes with a 7.2 kW charger.
Smart watches will also be able to connect with more than 60 class-leading connectivity features. 2600MM wheelbase, 378 litres of boot space, electric steering, throttle and regeneration response system will also be available. Copper will also be found inserted in the new LED tail lamp. The widest C-segment vehicle will get 3 intelligent driving modes including sporty mode. The car with 4200 overall lengths with 1821MM width is also dust and waterproof.
