Monsoon will arrive in Rajasthan ahead of schedule: Entry on June 18


There is news of relief for the people who are burning due to scorching heat in Rajasthan. Monsoon is likely to arrive earlier this time. The Meteorological Center Delhi has declared the likely date of arrival of the Southwest Monsoon in India in Kerala. According to meteorologists, after the arrival of the monsoon in Kerala, it takes an average of 20 or 22 days to reach Rajasthan. Therefore, there is a possibility that the monsoon may arrive in Rajasthan a week ahead of time between 16 to 18 June.

Director of Jaipur Meteorological Center Radhey Shyam Sharma said that this time the Indian Meteorological Center New Delhi has predicted the arrival of monsoon in Kerala on 27 May. He said that the actual entry of the monsoon can happen 4 days before or even after 4 days from the announced expected date. When the monsoon enters Kerala, it takes an average of 20-22 days to reach the border of Rajasthan from there. It is too early to say on which day the monsoon will arrive in Rajasthan now. He told that the dependence of the arrival of the monsoon depends on the condition of the atmosphere and winds at that time.

The entry of monsoon in Rajasthan is through Dungarpur, Banswara. In the year 2021, the monsoon entered Banswara on 18 June, which had arrived a week before the normal date of 25 June. Monsoon can camp in almost all the cities of Rajasthan a week before the scheduled time. The Meteorological Department has predicted normal rainfall (96-104 percent) in this year's monsoon season (June to September). Rajasthan receives an average rainfall of 415mm in a 4-month season.

Last year the average rainfall was 485.30 mm, which was 17 percent more than normal. This time the Meteorological Department has forecast below normal rainfall in Bikaner, Hanumangarh, Ganganagar and Churu belt of the north-eastern part of Rajasthan, while Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Bharatpur, Alwar, Jhunjhunu, Jaipur, Dausa, Dholpur, south-eastern part of Rajasthan. Slightly above normal very likely to occur over Baran, Bundi, Tonk, Banswara, Dungarpur and Udaipur. If we see the condition of the monsoon in Rajasthan in the year 2021, then it was normal. The rainfall in the entire state was 17 percent more than the average.

Meteorological station Jaipur has divided Rajasthan into two parts (East and West Rajasthan). In the year 2021 in western Rajasthan, the rainfall was above normal i.e. 20 percent more than the average, while in eastern Rajasthan it was normal (16 percent more than the average). Sirohi, Ganganagar, Pali, Jalore, Udaipur and Dungarpur received below-average rainfall in the year 2021.
