It has been the worst season for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). In 14 games in IPL 2026, they have won only four matches and lost ten. For the second successive season as their captain, Rishabh Pant could not take them to the playoffs. LSG finished the tournament at the bottom of the points table.

Pant cost ₹27.50 crore in the IPL mega auction. However, in two seasons, Pant has contributed very little to Lucknow. In IPL 2026, Pant scored 312 runs in 13 innings across 14 matches, averaging 28.36 and a strike rate of 138.05.

Pant has scored just one half-century this season. Consequently, 1 run of his cost ₹8,81,384 to L&T. This means that if Pant's per run price is added to his per run price, you could buy a shiny Ferrari.

Pant's performance was even worse last season. In IPL 2025, he scored 269 runs in 13 innings across 14 matches at an average of 24.45, with a strike rate of 133.16. Pant scored a century and a half-century last season. Last season, Pant's one run cost him ₹10,22,000.

Pant played 28 matches for Lucknow Super Giants over two seasons. In 26 innings, he scored 581 runs at an average of 22.34. He scored two half-centuries and one century. LSG has earned ₹9,26,643 per run in two seasons.
