TeamLease Services said in a report, that the domestic energy sector is undergoing a significant transformation in line with India's commitment to achieve net zero emissions target by 2070. This is reflected in the impressive net employment change of 9.01 percent in the power and energy sector.
Also, it signals a move towards a low-carbon future driven by significant government initiatives. According to the report, 62 percent of the industry participants have expanded their workforce. Cities like Delhi, Bengaluru, and Mumbai have driven this change.
According to Amar Ujala, Delhi leads the list of job opportunities in the power and energy sector with 56 percent, followed by Bengaluru (53 percent) and Mumbai (52 percent). Jaipur leads the list with 14 percent in terms of job search. Engineers are in highest demand in the power and energy sector.
