Weather in Rajasthan will remain erratic on Monday. Very hot weather and heatwaves will prevail in the western parts. Thunderstorms along with gale winds and showers are forecast in eastern and northeastern regions. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for storms and rains in six districts and heat wave warnings in two districts.

According to meteorologists, maximum temperatures will hover around 44-45 degrees centigrade in Sri Ganganagar, Phalodi, Jaisalmer, Barmer, and surrounding areas. Hot winds and heatwaves can escalate in intensity. Extra precautions must be taken in the afternoon.

In Jaipur, Alwar, Dausa, Bharatpur, Deeg, Kotputli-Behror, and adjoining areas, weather could witness changes in the afternoon with possibility of gusty winds, 40-50 km/h, partly cloudy, and light to moderate showers. Total rainfall will be less but there could be a slight decrease in humidity levels.

In the last 24 hours, severe heat was recorded in many parts of western Rajasthan. Sriganganagar was the hottest city with 44.8 degrees Celsius and Phalodi with 44.4 degrees Celsius. Despite temperatures remaining below 40 degrees Celsius in many districts of eastern Rajasthan, increased humidity caused discomfort.

Partly cloudy skies are expected in the capital, Jaipur, on Monday. The daytime temperature is expected to hover between 38 and 39 degrees Celsius. Light rain or drizzle may occur at some places with strong winds in the afternoon. Despite this, humidity is expected to persist throughout the day.

The Meteorological Department predicts that this situation will persist in the state for the next two days. Heat waves will persist in western Rajasthan, while localized thunderstorms and rain may occur in the eastern districts.
