The climate of western Rajasthan is extremely warm with a heat wave. However, a western disturbance might alter the weather conditions in eastern Rajasthan. The Meteorological Department issued thunderstorm and rainfall warnings for six districts. Three districts have been put under orange heat wave warnings, while yellow heat wave warnings have been issued to five districts.

The maximum temperatures in various districts were Barmer at 46.8°C, Jaisalmer at 46.3°C, Phalodi at 46.0°C, Jodhpur at 44.6°C, and Bikaner at 44.4°C. The heatwave in these areas throughout the day left the streets deserted.

The intense heat also impacted public life. According to Radheshyam Sharma, Director of the Jaipur Meteorological Center, the western disturbance, which will become active on May 11th, will affect the Bikaner, Jaipur, and Bharatpur divisions. These areas are expected to experience strong dust storms, cloudy skies, and light rain at times.

However, the Jodhpur division in western Rajasthan and the Udaipur division in southern Rajasthan will remain under heat for the next three days. The Meteorological Department has issued a heatwave warning for these areas.

The maximum temperature in the capital, Jaipur, reached 39.2 degrees Celsius on Sunday, providing some relief from the heat. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in Jaipur may also change in the afternoon on Monday and Tuesday.

Strong winds, thunderstorms and light rain are also expected in Ajmer, Alwar and adjoining districts for the next two days, while hot and dry weather is expected to prevail in Sikar for the time being.
