A rainfall alert has been sounded for six districts in Rajasthan on Thursday. Because of the influence of the Western Disturbance, there will be cloudy skies in the northwestern districts of the state. According to the Meteorological Department, the rainy spell in the state will not end for the time being. Meteorologists have said that new systems are becoming active one after another. In this series, a new system will come into action next week, due to which there will be a change in the weather again on the 26th and 27th of January. During this time, the sky will remain cloudy, and there may be a chance of light rains. The day will be affected by the fog, and it will be cold.
Dense fog enveloped several districts in northeastern Rajasthan over the past 24 hours. In several districts, including Bikaner, Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, and Churu, the fog weakened sunlight, leading to a chilly daytime feeling.
The impact of a Western Disturbance has reduced the northern winds, bringing some relief from the harsh morning and evening cold. However, due to the fog, minimum temperatures in most cities remained below 10 degrees Celsius. Temperatures remained in single digits in some cities, including Ganganagar, Tonk, Udaipur, Pilani, Sikar, Karauli, Alwar, and Baran. Fatehpur was the coldest area in the state on Wednesday, recording a minimum temperature of 4.9 degrees Celsius.
According to the Meteorological Department, the rainy season is likely to continue in the state even in the last week of January. Due to the activation of a strong Western Disturbance, many districts are expected to experience cloudy skies and light to moderate rain at some places between January 26 and 28.
