The average rating given by ICC to two pitches related to India's matches did not please head coach Rahul Dravid. On Saturday "respectfully disagreed" with the world body, saying an ODI match is not just about the batsmen and their attacking skills.
Dravid said, 'I would definitely respectfully disagree with the average rating given for those two wickets. I think they were good wickets. If you want to see only 350 (run) games and consider only those wickets as good, then I disagree with that.
He further said, 'I think you should look at different skills. If we only want to see fours and sixes and consider pitches like Delhi and Pune as good wickets, then why are there bowlers here?
It's just about trying to play our game plan as best we can and trying to execute it as well as possible and if we do that we know we can beat any team in the world on our day.
