National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval spoke by phone to Dr. Ali Akbar Ahmadian, Iran's Secretary of Supreme National Security Council (SNSC). Here, both parties talked about deepening bilateral relations, in particular, trade, security, economic cooperation.

The Iran embassy in India in a social media release announced that National Security Advisor to the Indian Prime Minister, Ajit Doval, spoke by phone to Dr. Ali Akbar Ahmadian, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council as well as representative of Iran's Supreme Leader. Doval in this conversation reaffirmed Iran's positive contribution to the region while also saying that India was very keen to expand mutual cooperation, particularly in terms of Chabahar port's development as well as the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC). He also appreciated Iran for its support and assistance.

The post said Dr Ahmadian emphasised that Iran and India are two ancient civilisations and share deep ties. There is immense potential for political and economic cooperation between the two countries. He stressed the need to expedite the implementation of strategic projects and reiterated that bilateral cooperation serves the broader interests of regional peace and stability.
