Pune-based Kinetic Green has launched the new Zulu electric scooter in India, priced at Rs 95,000 (ex-showroom). The new Kinetic Green Zulu is set to reinvent the popular brand in the two-wheeler segment. The EV maker has said that the electric scooter will be completely manufactured in India and will be sold as a subscription with the battery for Rs 69,999.

The Kinetic Green Zulu electric scooter gets an apron-mounted LED headlamp, while the DRL is located on the top of the handlebar stock. The styling is a mix of family and sporty offerings and is aimed at reaching out to a wide user group.

Talking about dimensions, the Kinetic Green Zulu measures 1,830 mm in length, 715 mm in width and 1,135 mm in height. Its wheelbase is 1,360 mm and ground clearance is 160 mm. The electric scooter weighs 93 kg and can lift to 150 kg.

Battery, Motor and Range
The Zulu is powered by a 2.27 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which is mated to a hub electric motor and gives it a maximum power of 2.8 bhp. The EV manufacturer claims that the Zulu electric scooter can travel about 104 kilometres on a single charge. In terms of performance, the top speed of this electric scooter is up to 60 km per hour.

Mechanically, the Kinetic Green Zulu comes with telescopic forks at the front and double shock at the rear, while braking comes from disc brakes at either end. The new Kinetic Green Zulu will compete with the likes of Ola S1X+, Okinawa PraisePro and many other offerings in the Indian market. Sales of the electric scooter will begin in early 2024. Kinetic Green also said it expects to sell one million electric vehicles in the next five years.
