The airline will start direct operations to Tel Aviv again from 2nd March after a break in August when it temporarily suspended its service amid the Israeli-Palestinian war between Israel and Hamas. On Wednesdays, five a week will fly, the airline announced, from New Delhi to Tel Aviv, Israel.
The airline will utilize its 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft for its service, featuring 18 flat beds in business and 238 economy-class seats. Flights will depart non-stop on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday.
The decision to resume operations on the Delhi-Tel Aviv route has been taken after the necessary approvals. The airline suspended direct flights in August 2024 in view of the growing tension between Israel and Iran.
On Tuesday, Israel's Tourism Minister Haim Katz said that he is pushing for direct flights from Mumbai to Tel Aviv by Air India and Israeli airline EI AI.
